Summary
D&D Beyond wanted a quick start video tutorial to introduce new users to its Virtual Tabletop (VTT) software. The goal was to reduce onboarding friction by giving novice players a fast, visual walkthrough of essential setup tasks.
I created a 150-second screencast tutorial using Camtasia, applying minimalist documentation principles to keep instructions clear, concise, and action-oriented. The video combined task-focused narration, screencast visuals, and highlighted on-screen markers to guide users step by step through starting and navigating the VTT environment. The end result was an accessible, polished resource that helped players begin using the tool immediately without wading through lengthy documentation.
